For the not so pretty metal jobbers, they are priced over $200 each. If you want anything pre-made that is fancier than that you can expect to pay around $400 each. We considered our options and decided the most cost-effective with consideration for the installation time, we chose landscape timbers. Look at the built-in "herb" box! I felt so loved when ...

Artwork and Curriculum a couple of years ago from the National Endowment for the Humanities. We finally got around to incorporating it into our schedule and I'm the lucky one who gets to teach it! I am actually thrilled! Enter Al Fresco Art! The week's artwork was the Mission Nuestro Senora de la Concepcion. And sure enough, a fun little art project called...

So Many Memories: June 2015
http://sewcrazed.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. A Tale of Two A's. I had a vision of how it would look when it was finished and this A looked nothing like that vision! It was dark and wrinkly and clumpy. I definitely used too much glue and paper and I think the napkin was too sheer for the paper-mache. So, I went back to Michael's and got a second A and painted it white. I used less glue and paper and it turned out exactly like I envisioned. Why did I wait so long to try this? It's one more thing I'm hooked on now! My boys start...

Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Crazy Freeform Prong Settings. The show season is over for me, and I have been allowing myself time to play. It is the time of year to make gifts, and to have some fun in the studio, before deadlines begin to roll in again. I have even been making some mixed media pieces, like Snow Moon, below. I also turn 40 next week. I am not however dreading it, I feel pretty good and I am totally young at heart still. Purple hair to prove it. That was too funny not to post. I think you ...

Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A Curious Design Challenge and Blog Hop. I have always been a fan of Alice in Wonderland. I think I could easily relate, being very much like the curious girl who could care less about her studies, and could spend the entire day dreaming up some fantastical tale. When I first met Genea (of Genea Beads. So here it is, a Design Challenge Blog Hop. I love his use of made up language inthe Jabberwocky. And how he weaves it into the story. 1872) `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves.
