Years PHP Programming Experience. I can't recal when I actually wrote my first line of JavaScript, it was probably back in the mid 1990's, somewhere between 1995 and 1997 I would say. And like many other's, my first was the good old image roll-over, accompanied by a pre-loader of course (I mean, if you're gonna do it! I am an expert JavaScript programmer. I have a full understanding of the core functionality of JavaScript and all of it's nuances.

15 Years CSS Experience. I began using CSS in 1997. Of course back then, support for it was very limited. It wasnt until about 1999 that CSS support was better. But for me, its all about CSS3. All by Hand (with a little Sass). While I was using Stylizer for a while, I have found that programming CSS3 by hand is far more efective. And since I do it all in Sass, Im able to maintain much larger CSS files with excellent structure and readability.

The navigation bar at the top, the fixed footer bar at the bottom, and everything in between is laid out with Bootstrap. I'm also using Bootstrap heavily in the games I programmed. I've used bootstrap heavily on many projects, including Bootstrap 3, which I'm fond of. AlishaSparkles.com. On the back end, I'm using LightVC to handle the VC part of my MVC setup. LightVC is a wonderfully simple Controller / View setup that is easy to extend for simple custom websites like mine. So far I have only found the need to have one custom class in the LightVC setup (I have other classes, but this is one that modifies the behavior of LVC itself.). Ive been working with database a lot longer than that, including Oracle, Access and at times, plain old text files (grep is a powerful tool! But every since I first installed MySQL about 16 years ago, I havent used much else (Oracle a bit at Neopets, but I was a strong advocate for switching to MySQL there, which we did.). I first learned HTML back in 1995. There wasn't much to it back then, and in all honesty, until HTML5 came along, not much changed. A New Era in Layout. HTML5 brings with it several new tags to markup with:. These new tags give us a better semantic understanding of a document (good for computers, and humans viewing source! Â They also give us new "hooks" to use in our CSS documents, something I am quite fond of.
