Cup Of Joe Powell: Fave Restaurant Meme
http://cupofjoepowell.blogspot.com/2007/05/fave-restaurant-meme.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2007. It's a most intriguing question, presented to me by the lovable Tits McGee. Name your five favorite places for dining out. It must be noted that her food blog. Makes me delirious with hunger. I'll happily offer my faves and then ask some other bloggers. To play along with this list-madness is they wish. Or if you, dear reader, can suggest your faves, I'll be equally happy to receive your input. Location do yo like best? The one on the East end of town or on the West end? So I go mo...
The Vol Abroad: October 2010
http://thevolabroad.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
The rantings and musings of a Tennessee expat and long term London resident. Sunday, October 31, 2010. The clocks went back last night in the UK, so perhaps I did get to sleep in just a little bit before the three year old stomped into our bedroom and threw himself into our bed, and said "Wakey, wakey". He twitched the curtains above our head to let in a smidgeon of damp, gray light. The Scottish contingency and farmers have been vociferously protesting against the double summer time idea. Personally, I'...
The Vol Abroad: January 2011
http://thevolabroad.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The rantings and musings of a Tennessee expat and long term London resident. Monday, January 31, 2011. Gone for a soldier. I took the boy up to The Mall on Sunday to watch the annual march of civil war re-enactors. Buddy loves his knights, so I assumed he'd like some of these 17th century blokes who stand somewhere in between knights of old and modern soldiers in terms of uniforms. And since I'd been away for work for a couple of days, I thought I'd take him into town for a bit of treat. I refused to pay...

Disappointment lingers | Weakley County Democrats

Thinking Of Goodyear, Unions And The Bailout →. October 21, 2008 · 3:28 am. When I hear about what the Democrats in office on the federal level are considering on my behalf, I become frustrated. The idea that a second “stimulus” payment to the nation’s taxpayers would help boost the economy during the first quarter of 2009 is just insulting. No thank you, keep your damn money, oh wait, keep MY damn money and next time if you want to know what my opinion is, ask me before speaking on my behalf. I am very ...

Thinking Of Goodyear, Unions And The Bailout | Weakley County Democrats
https://weakleycountydemocrats.wordpress.com/2008/12/14/thinking-of-goodyear-unions-and-the-bailout
Corker Talks With Split Tongue →. December 14, 2008 · 3:24 pm. Thinking Of Goodyear, Unions And The Bailout. So much is going on regarding the automobile company bailout. In Weakley County, it’s a double-edged sword. Do we, or don’t we? Because the implications of whether we do or we don’t will have long-term effects for this area. To the loan agreement between Congress and the White House would have required the United Auto Workers to agree to significant wage cuts next year, based on a spurious claim.
The Vol Abroad: August 2010
http://thevolabroad.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The rantings and musings of a Tennessee expat and long term London resident. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Who's still in the neighborhood? So I'm taking off my jacket, changing my shoes, putting on my cardigan and checking out my blog roll here to see who's still in the neighborhood. Ariedana's link gives me a 404, but she's one of the few I've kept up with. So, I know she's over here now. Is still keeping pretty busy. Still here and talking about squirrel hunting. Haiku of the Id. A gal from my home town, ...
The Vol Abroad: The budding photographer
http://thevolabroad.blogspot.com/2011/06/budding-photographer.html
The rantings and musings of a Tennessee expat and long term London resident. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. When Buddy was a baby, he loved to pose for the camera. Now at four, like his mom, he much prefers to be behind the camera. He's always asking me to hold and use the camera. And he's fairly careful with it (although he still has a tendency to get fingerprints on the lens, grrrr). Did you do much editing. They really are amazing portraits. 21 June, 2011 18:17. 21 June, 2011 22:50. Bill (can I call him that?

The rantings and musings of a Tennessee expat and long term London resident. Friday, June 24, 2011. Four-year-old Buddy and I saw this butterfly - a pretty thing. Orange. We talked about how we liked butterflies and whether I liked them. (I do). And whether I liked caterpillars (I don't, they eat my plants). And metamorphosis. Caterpillars turn into butterflies," Buddy said. I was impressed. "That's right! Links to this post. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cup of ...

Generating PDF files with HTML/CSS on App Engine. Posted by Thor Filed under google app engine, pdf, html, css. I recently was tasked with generating PDF files on Google App Engine from HTML and CSS markup. While at first it seemed like solutions for this are already out there, I quickly discovered that there is no simple drop-in solution for App Engine. After a couple of hours of tweaking things, I got Pisa. A demo of the final product can be seen here. 13 December, 2010.

Sonntag, 19. November 2017.

Abstract Composition · Because everyone has to have a blog, right?
Because everyone has to have a blog, right? Detecting User Inactivity In Javascript. You may face a time when you have javascript that is polling the server and you need to detect when the user stops interacting with the page. If you don’t shut off the poling at some point it will keep the user active/logged-in forever, which is certainly not a good thing. Now, I’m pretty sure that these days polling would. Executes the function every interval until user is idle. For the max amount of time. Kick off spec...

Join us as we discover the secrets of Tyria, Thorlinthia, Earth, and the Silver Realm. The Silver Realm: The Final Exam. What about the alarm? Why had he let his guard down? He dropped to his knees in agony. His head was ringing and his vision was starting to go. He saw the boot approaching his face and then his whole head exploded. He blacked out.
