VOICE Missions: An (almost) Twenty-something's Thoughts on Taiwan

http://www.blog.voicemissions.org/2015/07/an-almost-twenty-somethings-thoughts.html

Friday, July 24, 2015. An (almost) Twenty-something's Thoughts on Taiwan. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, being perfect. Or in this instance, learning that I can't. First of all, let me give you a bit of my background, or this might all be just really weird. (This is all really weird, who am I kidding Haha.). And that's where I come from. Small town girl, with small town friends, and a very small town sort of social life. At any rate, back to my topic here. Some teachers here teach the classes during the w...

VOICE Missions: July 2014

http://www.blog.voicemissions.org/2014_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 9, 2014. The House of Joy. On Saturdays, my teammate and I would go to the nearby town of Da Kang Lang to help a local missionary family that was trying to start up a ministry for the local kids. A group of excited children in front of The House of Joy. One Saturday during the Bible story time, Jill talked to the kids about prayer, and raised an unexpected flurry of questions. 8220;You mean that WE can pray to God too? 8220;We can pray in the day time or the night time? The House of Joy.

VOICE Missions: June 2014

http://www.blog.voicemissions.org/2014_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Love Changes the Hardest Heart! My first year in Taiwan I was stationed on the Hualien Team, where the average camp is about 65 kids. We had a different group of fourth-graders every Monday. Every week was an adventure in prayer and watching God give strength and compassion beyond what we could ever have in ourselves. But one week in particular is burned in my memory. In a language you don’t know? Location: Hualian City, Hualien County, Taiwan 970. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

VOICE Missions: November 2014

http://www.blog.voicemissions.org/2014_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 14, 2014. Awesome Opportunities In Taiwan! Monday, November 3, 2014. Hualien Aboriginal Village Ministry. My weekly trips to one particular aboriginal village were always exciting. Again and again, God spoke to the children in ways I never imagined. So many times I found out that He's working behind the scenes, in ways invisible to my human eyes. Truly, He continues to show Himself strong and faithful and amazing! I try to imagine a kid in America giving the same answer. I draw a bla...

Thursday, July 9, 2015. You can't teach what you don't know, and you can't lead where you don't go.". 8220;After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! 8221; Rev. 7:9-10. We will go.”. We’ve stood on clear Autumn nights in Chicago, coats and gloves on, hot app...

ACCEPTANCE | LOVE | FAITH | "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"

Evangelist Jackie J. Leverett. Hold fast to your Dream…. 17 April, 2015. Never let someone dream for you! My Plea: Hold on to what God has given You. Let others be a blessing, but allow God to be the provider. I will stand at my watch. And station myself on the ramparts;. I will look to see what he will say to me,. And what answer I am to give to this complaint.[a]. 2 Then the Lord replied:. Write down the revelation. And make it plain on tablets. So that a herald[b] may run with it. It speaks of the end.
