http://adventurousdiane.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. When I visited Scotland I fell in love with the country and the people. I don't know if I have ancestors from there but I hope so since my family primarily came from the British Isles. But I am confident from this trip that anyone would love Scotland. There are not only beautiful golf courses which I'm not really into the city of Edinburgh is absolutely beautiful. We have a piper down.repeat we have a piper down" (gotta love that movie). Loch is the Scottish word for lake. A far...

http://adventurousdiane.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2008. Welcome to Port Arthur (this is the church). The Coast on the way to Port Arthur. Bushes in Tasman National Park. Me in Tasman National Park. Another view of the church. The church at Port Arthur (where soldiers, freemen, and even prisoners were all forced to go to. It was supposed to be part of the rehabilitation turning them into upright citizens.). Worldwide Adventures: November 2008

Sunday, November 23, 2008. Picture of the centenary of women's suffrage. This is the Public Baths, but is now a swimming pool. I have yet to go inside. This is an alley leading to Collins Street which is completely filled with graffiti. Its actually pretty cool to look at and its even on art shows occasionally. This is the royal arcade where the tour started. Then we went to Block Arcade to Haigh's Chocolates. We tasted quite a few from this store. At one point the tour leader had us plug our nos...This ...

Worldwide Adventures: Great Ocean Road
http://adventurousdiane.blogspot.com/2008/12/great-ocean-road.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2008. The road was quite windy at some parts because of the coastline and the mountains/hills. On this trip I got to see lots of farmland. It was fertile and green, which now I understand why Victoria is called the garden state. Vegetation which can withstand both the salt water and the wind. This is where after a shipwreck, one sailor and one Irish girl made it to shore while the rest perished. Too bad it was so windy and chilly, I might have jumped in. Check out the rock formations.
