That, by far, is the coolest cake I have ever seen! You see, not all mommies can make home made cakes. I always was very proud of the ones I picked out at Publix or the occasional store box cake that I would make! I cant wait to hug you and your little brother again! Thursday, April 30, 2009. I am ever so proud of Jack for overcoming his social anxieties and jumping right into the childcare at the local YMCA. He has been having a great time playing ball in a walled off area of the childcare area where he and the other kids are allowed to let things ricochet to their hearts' delight. Meanwhile, I've been training for a 10K in July. Imagine Scarlett O'Hara saying "I can't! Knowing full well that you have no power to wrest them from her. You get the idea.

We've been occupied rather completely lately with the working and the cooking and the family and the football and the ps2 and the rearranging furniture and the lists and so on. We celebrated my father's birthday last weekend; it was his sixtieth, which is a bit worrying, but there's not much I can do about it. fabulous dinner at Sugo Thursday night, then a trip to the shiny new Georgia Aquarium.

Things I have learned from this year's garden. 1 Give the yellow grape tomato plant more room. A lot more room. It needs basically a 3x3' space all to itself, and lots of supports. 3 Stink bugs are gross and evil. So are leaf-footed bugs. 4 Scrotomatoes are funny, but mostly to me. 5 San Marzano plums are fantastic, but need to be planted where they won't be crowded out. 11 The Tasteful Garden.
