http://onkenblog.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 25, 2012. Our last few days in Madrid were spent doing some last minute shopping, visiting our favorite parks, saying bye to friends, eating yummy tapas and finally (for me) going to the Royal Chapel of St. Anthony (or Goya's church as I like to call it). Here are our friends Stephanie, Silvia and Kieran. Here are some things that Nick and I will miss from Madrid:. The Milk- so much better than in the states. So good and cheap. Need I say more? Wednesday, August 22, 2012. The whole bullf...

Saturday, August 21, 2010. Another thing that was special about the blessing was Sadie's dress. Our friend Peggy Curtis from our home ward here in Boston made Sadie the most unbelievable dress. It was absolutely beautiful, thank you Peggy! If you click on the picture below it will take you to the album with all the pretty pictures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jeremy, Rachel and Elliott. La Familia Onken: May 2012

Thursday, May 31, 2012. Madrid from the view of Andrew. Monday, May 28, 2012. I noticed that I was lost when I hit the Retiro Park, but thankfully there was an awesome playground filled with Americanas, so I was able to ask for directions and found our way home after the kids played. Nick really enjoyed his first day and is looking forward to learning lots from that doctor. Unfortunately, this was a typical sight of Sadie this first week. Tantrums galore! Sadie has a new obsession with park benches.

Maren's Musings...: A New Start...
http://marenjoanne.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-start.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2009. So I'm a little late with the New Year's resolutions this year. As many of you know, it was a rough holiday. And just as I was hoping to get my feet under me, I got sick. Yuck! So stay tuned for the fabulous adventures of Maren J. And for now, I'm of course keeping busy with work, basketball season, teaching Gospel Doctrine, piano lessons, being super aunt, planning someone else's wedding (no joke. it's a long story.), and trying to keep balance. Take care.Lots of loves.

Maren's Musings...: Is It Masochism?
http://marenjoanne.blogspot.com/2009/02/is-it-masochism.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2009. These are my Bears playing at the new Gaylen Center at USC. It was a beautiful night. The new arena is amazing - true to USC form, cost was no object and no expense was spared. Our seats were great - thank you Ryan! The company was awesome. The only problem? My Bears never win! Do I jinx them? Or is it just plain masochism at this point? I'm beginning to know how Cubs fans feel. February 4, 2009 at 7:39 PM. Love the new scape! February 10, 2009 at 9:33 PM. Hope all is well!

This is a quilt I made for my father for his birthday in 1997. It's called Hugs and Kisses. This is a 1996 challenge piece using a wild Hoffman fabric called Love In. Going along with the theme I decided to make a 70's op art quilt using a Marilyn Doheny pattern called Cubic Ribbons. After much urging by Mary Beth Goodman, I sent it to her NYQuilts! So much for the love in.). Is slightly larger than twin sized. My daughter Chelsea has not spent a day of her life without her blankie someplace nearby. ...
