Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Sunday, August 17, 2014. Yes, that title would completely describe me right now. Life has been be-bopping along great. We've started school, getting in the routine with extracurricular activities and basically sailing smoothly. Then in the middle of last week we received a call that they had scheduled Sarah Joy's first surgery. that's when the sanity train derailed. My first reaction was "YAY! And of course, the "what if's" worry me the most. I know t...

Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. All he needs is you. I'm not sure how to even begin this blog post. The emotions swirling around in my head and heart are soon going to consume me if I don't share them, so here goes. As most of you know, we recently completed the adoption of our youngest child, Sarah Joy. This was a long journey that started over 10 years ago. You can read more on that story here. I begin to think about a particular little boy, Rong Rong:.

Joy in the Journey: Waiting...
http://samuelsadoption.blogspot.com/2014/05/waiting.html
Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Waiting. it's so hard to do. Do you remember being a child and waiting for Santa or your birthday. It felt like the day would never arrive, but even so, you knew that eventually it would. Now imagine waiting for something bigger than any gift you could get at Christmas or your birthday. Imagine waiting for a family to call your own. A mom and dad to love you and tell you how special you are. Those who are there for you forever!

However, those days are overshadowed by days like this:. More times than not, she is a happy little girl who is so fun to be around. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Joy in the Journey: February 2014
http://samuelsadoption.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Saturday, February 15, 2014. That's kind of how I feel about Sarah Joy's adoption. I find the timing perfect, just like God who orchestrated it. You see it was ten years ago that God planted the seed of adoption in my heart. Friends had just returned from China with their first sweet treasure on Valentine's day. I met her a few days later and knew that's what God wanted us to do. I prayed, I begged, I wept, and I dreamed. Even so, Jim was not ready. I am ...

Joy in the Journey: The adventure....
http://samuelsadoption.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-adventure.html
Joy in the Journey. Count it all joy." James 1:2. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. This trip for surgery has been an adventure. We got to the airport and checked in. As I was walking to security, I realized I had only checked myself in and forgot Sarah Joy's ticket. So I turned around and back we went. Finally we were ready to go through security. Now this is stressful for me on a good day. Today was super stressful! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Live Life on Purpose. History in the Making.
