September 24, 2007. Beggar thee neighbour – classic self-interests at play. 8212; Tags: biofuel. 8212; fujinitsuki @ 3:09 pm. Biofuel, the renewable child of energy and agriculture, starts with the promise of creating new income streams for the empowerment of rural poor. But alas, the policy makers conveniently forget to educate their constituencies on the opportunity costs for land use. You have this limited land and it could only go to either raising of crops for food or crops for fuel. Fill in your de...

Monday, March 27, 2006. No man is an island', so technically speaking, relationships are what keep us going. But if we are indeed that dependent on relationships, how do we deal with people coming and going in our lives? How do we balance the give and take from any relationship? Or is there a means to account for our feelings at all? The irony is the weakest folks are the ones who need to appear strong. Where does this leave us the women of 21st Century? Can we still look up the 'better sex' for support?

Monday, January 23, 2006. Roger Federer and Marcos Baghdatis were the most recent players to be annointed as (human) Tennis Machines recently on the telecasts of Australian Open. By token of the match telecasts of Federer vs Mirnyi and Baghdatis vs Roddick, I have deduced the following reading of a (human) Tennis Machine:. A (super)human tennis player who displays a mechanical accuracy and consistency in producing aces (winning serves), winning forehand/backhand rallies. I wonder though with the frequent...

Sunday, April 23, 2006. New adjective for the day. Was tramming with friends from Fitzroy to city. We were discussing the soon-to-be-released movie,. Starring Tom Hanks and. Le Fabuleux destin d’Amelie Poulain. Trying to come up with a suitable description for this interesting French actress, this thought crossed my mind: ‘She is so Fitzroy.’ Now this is definitely not good English. But I’m pretty sure I’m not off the mark here. First posted on a course blog 22 April 2006. Posted by fuji at 4:50 PM.

Saturday, May 06, 2006. Feeling the chills of an unknown 'fire'. 20 minutes later and still no sign of a resolution, we decided to change and head back for dinner. In retrospect, I feel this whole debacle - particularly the anxiety we picked up from the staff at the complex, smells of this fear that seemed to have enveloped Melbourne since 9-11 incident. Or perhaps I'm thinking too much (again ;) . Niki's still sore. Over the whole affair. Posted by fuji at 11:35 PM. View my complete profile.

Monday, July 17, 2006. Death of a chin. Sister Chinchilla passed away this morning at 2.30am. And I still have no freaking idea what went wrong with her. It was just hours after I brought her to the vet. We gave her the medication and hand fed her with the supplements the doc gave me. She suddenly developed spasms - short and rapid in-takes of breaths, after her last fed at around 2am. I performed a CPR on her on advice from the pet emergency hotline. Alas all was lost. February 17, 2008. War works for no man. Filed under: Moments in Singapore. 8212; fujinitsuki @ 1:49 pm. 8220;The wars of the world don’t come from outer space. People create them, people who have a war within themselves. I want to create music that eases that war within.” – Kitaro. One more reason why I love the man and his music. More often than not, the major wars in the 20th to 21st century are orchestrated by a few men, whose self agenda soon overtook that of the large majority. War does not resolve...
