A selection of walks crossing the line. By The Same Author. You will never be far from the whistle of a Bluebell Railway on this walk. Meandering through farmland, village and woodland landscapes the walk eventually crosses the line and takes you to to your destination at Sheffield Park station. At T junction turn right. Take footpath on left before bridge. At farm buildings go through gate, turn right then double back to farmhouse. Follow path past lake and mill house. Cross stream and head uphill.

The Bluebell Railway is located south of London and runs from East Grinstead to Sheffield Park through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. East Grinstead can be reached directly by train from London. Trains leave Victoria and London Bridge. The main line terminates at the end of the Bluebell Railway and it is only a short hop from the mainline to steam railway platforms. 2017 Bluebell Railway Walks.

This walk could be combined with a day out under steam as the final leg of your journey back home. Walk up road to Tickeridge Farm. Turn right and follow footpath through farm yard.
