http://annesecomomics.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 2, 2010. 10 things I am going to do instead of writing this blog. But here are the next 10 things I am going to focus on:. 1 Saving. I'm not in debt, but I'm not so great at saving yet. I want to be able to have 6 months for emergencies, and have a whole year of non-monthly expenses put aside. 2 Eat a more plant based diet. Not only does it save money, but it is more healthy. 5 Buy only consumable items. Buying things (especially at Target! 8 Stick with my exercise plan. I have been...

Sunday, January 24, 2010. Made in the USA? Another problem is that items that are made in China but assembled in the USA can be labeled "Made in the USA," so it is hard to know how you can only support USA products. Here are some tips that I learned:. A Year Without "Made in China": One Family's True Life Adventure in the Global Economy. Sara Bongiorni and her family went USA or without. It is an interesting read. Look at the entire cost. I'm all about saving money, but also I really feel that buying...

ECOMOMICS: Tune in next week!!
http://annesecomomics.blogspot.com/2010/01/tune-in-next-week.html
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Tune in next week! I'm putting you off for a week because I am researching a blog about how to avoid buying products from China. This wasn't something I was really worried about until a few other people started pointing it out to me. Then, I was in the American Girl store after Christmas. Do you know that not one item in the AMERICAN Girl store is manufactured in the United States? That was a little horrifying. Anne Mack, mom of 4. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, November 30, 2009. Slow down, take time! If you are frustrated at me for not giving you more holiday tips, I am sorry. As your friend, it is my job to remind you to take care of yourself this holiday season. Focus on giving - I've kicked this one around enough by now! Focus on children. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Thanksgiving is coming. The Turkey's Getting Fat. Ok, before you stick that bird in the oven, here are a few pointers:. 1 Borrow a roasting pan. The foil pans and I have had a divorce. I have had far too many fold in half and dropped the bird. Additionally, you can't use the drippings to make gravy as well - I make mine in the pan after I take out the turkey. I borrow mine from a friend who doesn't have to bring the turkey to her family dinner. 7 Stock up for Christmas. If ...

ECOMOMICS: Great tips from TV?
http://annesecomomics.blogspot.com/2010/01/great-tips-from-tv.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. Great tips from TV? I'll admit it - TV is my guilty pleasure. I'm not a reality show watcher, but I love my Oprah, and TV dramas. I gave up on soaps years ago, and I don't make time for American Idol, but I do watch about 2 hours of TV. It's TIVO'd of course! I don't have time during the day, so I watch it when I fold laundry, etc. Here's some ideas I have learned from TV:. Cook only with wine you would drink. I hear this on almost every food show - if you wouldn't drink it,...
