You bring the imagination! Blue Skies 4 You. Back at the Ranch. We raise cattle, hay and wild rice on our northeastern California ranch. JMJ are the initials of John Martin Jensen who is the great-great grandfather of our children. The ranch is the original homestead of the Jensen family in the 1850's. The sun came out and it is busy now! We are thankful for all of the rain, it is good for our crops and does save on the pumping bills! Now that the sun is out, hopefully everything will start to grow.

Blue Skies 4 You. 3 pounds apples - peeled, cored and chopped. 1 cup white sugar. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Place apples in a large saucepan and just barely cover with water. Simmer over medium-low heat until apples are tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Run cooked apples through a food mill or blender. Stir in the sugar and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 3 to 5 minutes.
