Trapping outside the fence relieves the pressure of predators on the fence and lets Orokonui know which pests and what sort of numbers are out there. We had a tour of the port and a great talk from Ian Church, local historian. We were lucky to have Peter Cole to show us around the museum and the town, including the Art Park, Rhododendron Dell and cemetery. The Blog of Blueskin Media. Monday, 8 September 2014. Library Rug to Reflect Blueskin Bay. A large rug, designed to incorporate the varied geographical features of the surrounding area, was unveiled at the Blueskin Bay library on Saturday 16 August. Blueskin Bay librarian Louise Booth says the project, funded by the Dunedin City Council's Creative Communities Scheme, began last year under the direction of artist Janet De Wagt. The rug is sized to fit nicely into the Blueskin Bay Library's children's area.

DCC 2GP Second Generation District Plan. Blueskin Bay Watch Incorporated was formed in 2006 in response to concerns at the possible subdivision of rural zoned land in the Blueskin Bay area. The founding members saw the need for an incorporated society that could effectively represent the views of local people on environmental and development issues in the area around Blueskin Bay. The society has had a low profile over the years but has made a number of submissions on planning issues.
