Blue Turtle Knits: November 2007

http://blueturtleknits.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 30, 2007. Some Knitting and a blog Friend. I have been knitting, really, I. I finished both the Girlfriend Swing Coats except for blocking and sewing on the ribbons, yay! I rarely knit something twice and I managed to do both of these before I really got sick of them. They are so cute! A little slow progress was made on the never ending Pulse sweater. I hate this thing! About half done, I can do this! I went to a knit night in Hanover last night! I heard about it on Ravelry. The fields p...

Blue Turtle Knits: September 2007

http://blueturtleknits.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 28, 2007. We went to Amsterdam! This may have been a light house at some point. It is a tower standing at the intersection of two large canals. People rode bikes and talked on their cell phone or rode next to a friend and gossiped. Everywhere people on bikes and still there where thousands locked up on railings, bike racks, and light posts. Gummibaer doesn’t like to ride bikes so we opted to see the sights on foot. This is the Oude Kerk. This is a view of the back of the Rijksmuseum.

Sunday, March 08, 2009. My sister has very nicely given me a baby to knit for! My nephew was born on the last day of February. A strong healthy 7lbs 12oz. I had prepared for his arrival by making this. I am hoping he will learn to crawl on it and drag it with him when he learns to walk. I think it will hold up well. Pattern: Prairie Blanket form Oat Couture. Yarn: Tatamy Tweed from Kramer yarns, DK cotton/acrylic Machine wash and Dry! Pattern: Curly Purly Soaker. Yarn: cascade 220 superwash. KitWit:Ranti...

Blue Turtle Knits: March 2008

http://blueturtleknits.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 25, 2008. I hope everyone had a happy Easter! I had a good time this year. I spent the day quietly. I went for a walk in the morning sunshine and then I made a lovely coffee cake for brunch to go with my orange juice and pineapple. I spent the afternoon dying eggs and playing with color! I never pass up the chance to play with dyes and this year I experimented with tape. I enjoyed my play time and now I have plenty of eggs for my traditional curried eggs on toast. Sunday, March 16, 2008.

Saturday, February 16, 2008. All Knitting and No Spinning. After I went to the spinning tea I was on a roll. I finished spinning the Rose Wensleydale roving into singles and then I Andean. Plyed it. I ended up with this lovely two ply that is about DK weight. It turned out quite nice and I already have some ideas what I want to knit with it! Since then I have been concentrating on the Pulse cotton sweater that has been on my needles for almost two years! A big mile stone reached! He hid one with my morni...

Photos Music and random observations. Friday, February 22, 2008. Photos from the Past. I was going through the pile of papers on my desk and found this photo. I thought I should do a post of old photos and other art. This photo was taken at my godfather, Brown's wedding. The cutie is my twin sister. We are about seven in this photo. This was one of the first photos I ever took,. It was taken at Camp Sangamon in Pittsford Vt. The guy in the photo led biking trips, my first introduction to Mountain Biking.

Photos Music and random observations. Tuesday, May 6, 2008. A Long Last Post. It has been a while since I posted. Things have changed since my last post. The lawn is raked, I have been out playing kayak frisbee (you don't throw the kayak) and summer is here. For your viewing pleasure today we have a selection of images and short stories about them. Also on the stream is a stone dam for the old mill. The rest of these images are from that mill dam, the product of a sunny afternoon. Where the Red Fern Grows.

Photos Music and random observations. Friday, November 14, 2008. I am here with a long last post. This post is a collection of photos I took in September during my photography workshop in Maine. The workshop I took was taught by Elizabeth Cecil. And was entitled Vision and Discovery. The workshop was a foundation workshop in black and white focusing on seeing your subject in new ways. Under the arch into the garden. Where you lose things. Up towards the light. The Space in between the church. Mountains o...

Photos Music and random observations. Thursday, October 25, 2007. Today on the menu we have a visit to Ciderfest 2007. During the weekend there is: contra dancing, a tango workshop, waltzing and more to the music of the Ciderfest Band. The cooking and eating of good food from the Ciderfest Kitchen. Good ol' hangout time around the campfire, with a good game, or jamming with friends. There are also a few other things we have on the schedule. Apple fritters during the Saturday evening contra dance. I hope ...

http://anointingoil.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. So the Crochet Crowd on face-book is having a Crochet along. It is a Kaleidoscope Throw! So for some reason I started it. I guess it will become a Christmas present for someone. But anyway here is a picture of my start. THe motifs get put together as you crochet along, so this will be interesting. Otherwise I have been knitting a lot of scarves for Christmas presents too! As you can see, I have been quite busy. My creative Juices are flowing again! God Bless You All!

It is very interesting to watch the lady that makes them. And she is so willing to teach others! I am working on a Light Sage sweater. I crocheted the front top to give it a little bit of a lacy look. I am knitting the rest of it, because I like the stretch of knit. Have a great day! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
