http://mcforever-renew-me.blogspot.com/2012/07/cavendish-here-we-come.html
Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Sunday, July 1, 2012. Cavendish Here We Come! If memory serves correctly we enjoyed some more time in Charlottetown on the 19th and then headed to Cavendish. Just before Cavendish we stopped at the Preserve Company and indulged in some jelly and jam tasting. Then we were off to the Graham Inn. What a treat! Dining area and Lounge. Pam cooks and greets. Dulcie bakes and does reservations. Carol loves to work outdoors. Terry, the man of all trades. The federal gov...

Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Thursday, July 5, 2012. I Knew It Would Happen. Wednesday July 4th 2012. Leaving our nice $55 motel in Moscow we headed north up 95 to Plumber through beautiful Idaho rolling farm land. The winter grain was about 18” high and the first hay crop was being cut. We took secondary 5 east to St. Mary’s, which was a complete delight. The road winds around a lake to a nice country town and eventually turns south where we were able to test the radar detector systems.

Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. With the auspicious reputation as the town that the Hell’s Angel’s terrorized in the 1953’s biker flick The Wild One, Hollister treated us very well. Dean posing on his Ducati. We started the morning with a fluff and buff at the local full service car wash. $25 later, both bikes were free of grasshopper guts and 3000 miles of other road grime. We had a superb breakfast of eggs benny and salmon. The daily fugitive report. It had fast 3.

Renew Me!: Antigonish to Charlottetown
http://mcforever-renew-me.blogspot.com/2012/07/antigonish-to-charlottetown.html
Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Sunday, July 1, 2012. June 18 and part of June 19. After having breakfast provided by our hosts Jim and Marleen and receiving a souvineer photo of ourselves we set off for downtown Antigonish to wander through the stores. Antigonish has been referred to as the gem of the Northumberland Shore. Its downtown core is lit by decorative lamp posts and the streets are lined with trees and hanging flower baskets. There are some extremely well done murals too. Lupins gro...

Renew Me!: June 2012
http://mcforever-renew-me.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Sunday, June 17, 2012. After wandering around the gardens of the Briarwood Inn we travelled north towards Antigonish, our next destination! Driving for a very long time we finally emerged 54 km west of Antigonish! Whoops. I guess there was a quicker way. Tomorrow we shall attempt to find the Cape George Lighthouse and the Tuna Interpretive Center. Tomorrow we will be off to an earlier start so that we can get all our goals (okay, most of them) accomplished!

http://mcforever-renew-me.blogspot.com/2012/07/little-italy-we-bid-goodbye-to-matt.html
Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Monday, July 9, 2012. We bid goodbye to Matt after a wonderful bowl of steel cut oatmeal with pecans and maple syrup. He set our course south to the University of California’s Lick Observatory and Jim programmed the GPS. Outside of Livermore (where Matt says a bunch of pencil-head engineers work. We motored through cool blasts of wind past the highest density wind-farm we have ever seen. A course correction had us on a 20 mile super twisty road up to Lick. 19th ...

Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Friday, July 6, 2012. Thursday July 5 2012. 525 (or) Up the Creek Without a Paddle. After several days of riding Dean began to notice that his chain was failing. It was clear that no amount of chain lube was going to get that chain to San Francisco and back. So, thursday morning at Baker City was a make and mend day although we still managed 500 km of riding in the afternoon. Thanks Jim and thank you Cliff’s Saws And Cycle! Sumpter gold mining dredge. Motorcycle (and sometimes other) Journeys. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Day 2 Freedom of the Road. We woke on Tuesday morning in Thompson Falls to the sound of rain drops on the roof. Oh no! We dallied until 8:30 and then donned our rain gear just as the rain began to slow. By the time we had gassed up the rain had stopped but the road was still wet. We leave the pass at Kooskia and head north on 12. The wrong direction but new roads beckon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). July 6 2012 High Plains Dr...
