Between 1999 and 2003, members of the Western Buddhist Order have given free instruction in meditation and led Dharma (Buddhist Teaching) discussion groups in English on the roof of the Mahabodhi Guesthouse in Bodhgaya. Order members have also led devotional puja ceremonies open to all under the Bodhi tree at the Mahabodhi temple. The team are now constructing a new retreat centre 1km from the town centre (near the Root institute). Activities will continue when this place is ready!
