Thursday, August 4, 2011. TexasHotter than Hell's Door Hinges! I heard this saying today and it cracked me up. I think I can understand first hand exactly how hot that might just feel! It's too hot to go outside here. Too hot to spend any special attention or time towards a particular hairstyle. Almost too hot to think! Always the one blogging, I'm not sure how much of an introduction is needed. I was born in VA where I had the great fortune of attending a beautiful school, Longwood University. Where I met amazing friends through my sorority, ASA, and student government. Longwood University Class of 2004. Paradise Island, Bahamas. Those four years flew by. Wendi and I at my favorite park, Animal Kingdom. My first visit to the parks as a CP. The beach that was less than 1 mile from my apt! Miami Beach, FL.

Sim was born in Pittsburgh although you'd never know it based on his love for warm weather and spending time on the beach. He is a die hard sports fanantic though and I know that Pittsburgh has a powerful reputation for it's sports teams so maybe that is the characteristic he gained from his childhood years! I met Sim in fourth grade (although I do not remember the actual encounter) but we were fortunate enough to meet again in 2005 (and that encounter I do remember! The rest is history! Dallas, TX 2008.

Friday, October 8, 2010. Just missing him a little extra today :( I am SO ready to have him home. There is nothing like having your best friend around and no matter how much you try to keep busy to trick yourself from thinking about it.the quiet moments sneak up on you when you just feel empty inside. On a positive note, he is now supposed to be coming home one week earlier than we originally anticipated! How is that for a glass half full? You are so strong and brave! October 8, 2010 at 6:48 PM.

Its April now and I'm a little overwhelmed knowing that in just a few short months we will be packing up all of our belongings and leaving the state we have been living in for the last five years.
