The development of a model railway. Scenery, Structures and Vehicles. Version One (RTS 1). Roundtrees Sidings was invited to exhibit at Model Rail Scotland 2015. There is a certain irony to the invite. The original Roundtrees Sidings was built for a competition and one of the “prizes” for the winner was an invite to Model Rail Scotland 2006! We did not win and we did not receive an invite. Nine years later we finally collected our prize . . . . . The John Moore Weatherspoons. In Argyle Street near Glasgo...

Thursday, March 1, 2012. Goodbye awkward URL, hello Glen Untitled. After two posts that mention "Glen Untitled" I decided it's a £1,000,000 idea so I figured I better register the domain name, then I decided I should move the blog there and host it myself rather than using blogger (my life wasn't complicated enough). I'll post something productive at some point tonight :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm David, I like whisky, for a proper introduction see this post. View my complete profile.

Monday, February 27, 2012. 26/02/2012 Return to Glengoyne with GWC and Glen Untitled Batch 2. So it had been a whole two weeks since I've been to Glengoyne, but I liked it so much I had to go back, this time with the Glasgow Whisky Club :). The lighting was completely different so we noticed this door which me and Scott both failed to notice last time. It's a very nice door :). The 40 Year Old, no sample of this one I'm afraid! The 21 Year Old, not tried this either I'm afraid. They refilled the pond,.

Sunday, August 21, 2011. Photo by Ikiwaner [GFDL ( www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html. I'm 10 days late posting this one as I've had a pretty busy few weeks, but I'm taking a break from work and studying (CISCO 640-802 exam, not the least bit whisky related) to post about what's been my favourite whisky tasting this year and probably one of my favourite whisky experiences so far. The tasting was hosted by Glenfiddich brand ambassador Jamie Milne who I'd only been formally introduced to a few weeks before, but.

WHISKY!: October 2011

Thursday, October 27, 2011. GWC Round The Barrel Night - 26/10/2011. Good night as always, but I was a bit too tired for it thanks to the change of seasons and the change of shifts at work. Eight great drams (although there was only six on the official line up), my first time trying a few distilleries and one of those firsts was Dailuaine, my dram of the night. 1984 10 Year Old Glen Moray. Actually a really nice dram despite Glen Moray not having the best reputation. 1996 11 Year Old Ben Nevis -. GWC Rou...

WHISKY!: 11/02/2012 Glengoyne Distillery Visit and Blending Class
http://whisky.tia568b.com/2012/02/11022012-glengoyne-distillery-visit-and.html
Sunday, February 19, 2012. 11/02/2012 Glengoyne Distillery Visit and Blending Class. A bit late, but last weekend me and a couple of friends visited Glengoyne distillery, I'm due to go back next week with Glasgow Whisky Club so I figured I'd post some photos and thoughts before that. I've not been to many distilleries, just Auchentoshan and Talisker (as a kid), but this is a gorgeous distillery and the tour was awesome. The tour actually included a blending class which was good fun, this normally costs e...

The team that drinks together wins together. The team that’s just been beaten also deserves a pint for their valiant efforts too. The Bon Accord has become the home of TFC Dynamo for post match occasions. Living just round the corner when the team was formed (and still to this day) it was Bob Keith who introduced us all to the pub properly. Many of us had been in the Bon on a few occasions before but many more have become ‘regulars’ since. Http:/ www.bonaccordweb.co.uk/.
