David & Gwen Schwieder Family: December 2014
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. Christmas decorations in Taiwan. These men were putting up the tree for our Ward Christmas party. It was fun to watch. I don't even think they got the tree put together correctly let alone any rhyme or reason for how it was decorated. They never found a top on the tree. Young Carson wanted to help - he did as well as anyone else. My tree. It stands about 5 feet high. It makes me happy! My advent calendar this year.

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: September 2014
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. P-day at Zouying and Lotus Lake. Dad and I took a day trip to Zouying to see where he served his mission 42 years ago. He didn't find much that was the same. However, Lotus Lake was still there with it's pagodas. The Lake was quite pretty, especially in a sea of city high rise buildings. It was like a breath of fresh air. It was nice to see many people just enjoying nature here at the lake. This is written above the te...

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: May 2014
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. We went to the HALE Theater again . . . And this time we took some special people with us. For Christmas we gave Mom and Dad Schwieder their choice of shows. They chose Arsenic and Old Lace. Tammie and Shanalee also wanted to see that show so we all went together. What fun. Of course we had Daisy (still nursing) with us so Rob very magnanimously offered to tend her during the show. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Excel...

David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. A word about our mission call. It was very exciting to open our mission call. Dad was kind enough to let me open it. Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was. So nice to to share this moment with family, both. Here and on Skype. We are excited to go to. Taiwan, though I am also quite nervous. David is thrilled with the call! Hard on our Chinese with the MTC, by Skype. The schedule is quite stressful, but will only.

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: The Taiwan Lantern Fesitval
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-taiwan-lantern-fesitval.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. The Taiwan Lantern Fesitval. The festival covered at least 1/2 square mile. I could not walk the entire thing and we missed a lot on one side. I heard we missed the huge castle complete with dragon and the pirate ship in the sky. This bird's wings flapped. I was informed this was Not a fish. It is a Carp! I liked the phoenix. Notice the people in the foreground to get some idea of the size of these displays. David and ...

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: Food in Taiwan
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2014/10/food-in-taiwan.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. So, Food in Taiwan is different. I like some of it quite a lot, and some not at all. And some of it I just can't bring myself to eat. Our hosts showed us how they stuff these chickens for roasting. They are stuffed with herbs and vegetables. Notice the claws are still attached. They eat these after they are cooked. And I always complained that the wing didn't have any meat on it. Taiwan people are not camera shy. This ...

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: March 2014
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. Honestly, it is not my fault that I haven't blogged for a while. After returning from Kanab the 2nd week of January I tried to blog Christmas and found that all the photos on my camera had been erased - so sad, no photos of Christmas! Doesn't look much like our wedding photo! No she doesn't laugh yet but gas makes her smile! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We are so grateful to all those wonderful people who have been impo...

http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. Our yard this fall. This Fall we put up a fence around the back yard. It looks nice. We also got the play set area finished with a border and rubber fill. Just before Yellowstone closed we took my Dad for a drive. It went much better this time - no flat tire! It was chilly but beautiful. Clark playing at the park. Hailey on our back yard swing - notice Dad's nice garden in the background. Katelyn on the slide. We decid...

David & Gwen Schwieder Family: The many faces of missionary service
http://meettheschwieders.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-many-faces-of-missionary-service.html
David and Gwen Schwieder Family. Familes are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts. The many faces of missionary service. Everyday we have a chance to serve someone. It is a great life! Serving at a Senior Care Center. Holding a baby at a member visit. Helping to teach a Relief Society class. Teaching a Relief Society class. The children loved the cooking class. They did not think the apple filling was too sweet. English Proselyting - we handle English just fine. Singing in a choir. Thur Dec 9 - 1 hou...
