Monday, November 19, 2012. Today marks the two year anniversary of my breast cancer diagnosis. Oh, what a two years it has been. Joe and I have dreams to conquer. A family to start. More happy memories to create. Thursday, January 27, 2011. Day 60: Happiness and New Beginnings. How about with the fun stuff? After we got back, we found a photographer to take some shots of us at the Art Institute of Chicago, which is where we met. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Day 121: Overworked, Overcommitted, and Overjoyed. I only have three more treatments left. My last round of chemotherapy is scheduled for May 5th. I can't wait to be finished! Of course, that is just the beginning of the end of my treatment. In June, I plan to have major surgery (tentatively scheduled for June 10th) to reduce my risk of getting breast cancer again. Santa came to my house early this year! I heard from the oncologist today and she said that my lymph nodes came back negative! The cancer also did not get into the surrounding blood vessels or lymph ducts. So, this is GREAT news! Hope you all have a great holiday! Have a drink to celebrate my journey to health for me.
