On Thursday, an ice storm knocked out power to almost 400,000 residents of New Hampshire. Now, I'd never heard of an ice storm until this weekend. The first image that comes to mind is huge chuncks of solid ice falling from the sky and tundra-esque winds sweeping across the state. Turns out it's not like that. An ice storm is.
