The inspiration for Bootsy and Angel Books is Dave’s deceased daughter Jeannine Marie Roberts. Jeannine died on March 1, 2003 at the age of 18 of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects connective muscle tissue. Bootsy and Angel are Jeannine’s two cats.
