Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: February 2011
http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 26, 2011. We had a wonderful day with Rachel today! She has been a lot of fun. She has played with everyone and had a great time. We gave her a bath tonight and she loved it! She didn't want to get out. We think she is going to be a little swimmer. She is just incredible. No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Friday, February 25, 2011. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Rachel is doing wonderfully! For God, who said, 'Let there be light in the darkness,' has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. We just received word today that we have permission from the Embassy to travel and get Leah! I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: April 2011
http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Please pray for us as we try to arrange an escort to bring Leah home. We are hopeful that we may be able to get a family that is traveling for their court date to at least escort her to where they live. This would greatly reduce the cost for us. Pray that God would provide the right family if this is his will so that we can get her home as soon as possible. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. There was an error i...

They both really loved Christmas. We explained to Leah that is was Jesus' birthday and that was why we were celebrating and she seemed to understand it. Everyone wanted to give them a present. At one point Leah said "another one! But they had fun and everyone enjoyed having little ones at Christmas again. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. When we look at her it is very hard to believe that she hasn't always been a part of our family. She fits in so well and certainly feels at home here. As a matter of fact, I think she is in charge. We are very thankful for her and look forward to all the excitement she will bring to our life. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: May 2011
http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 28, 2011. First Day at Home. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Friday, May 27, 2011. Leah and Mike are home. Leah is still a little overwhelmed with everything. She was crying when she came off the plane because she had been asleep and wasn't ready to. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Mike took this picture of Leah while waiting at the airport in DC. Isn't she beautiful? She looks happy to be coming home. We received an E...

Mayfield Family Adoption Adventure: Rachel's Gotcha Day
http://mayfieldadoption.blogspot.com/2012/02/rachels-gotcha-day.html
Saturday, February 25, 2012. A year ago today a beautiful little girl came home to her family and our lives haven't been the same since. We plan to celebrate the day by going to the Ethiopian restaurant and giving her and Leah possibly their first taste of authentic Ethiopian food. After over 2 years of waiting for both of them we had started to think we would never be at this point but God was in control of all of it and brought them to us at just the right time.
