Living on the cusp: March 2010
http://bornonthecusp.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Longer days and the promise of warmer weather have done a lot for my spirits. It's not as if the mountain of work has suddenly shrunk, but cast under the light of the brilliant sunshine it's suddenly not so gloomy. And even if I've fallen short of my goals, I've come to realize that I am happy. I have a nice home with a wonderful man. I have some great friends and a great family. And all of that, even though, I'm not ...Life's a ...
Living on the cusp: Time to Start Over
http://bornonthecusp.blogspot.com/2011/02/time-to-start-over.html
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Time to Start Over. My lower back has been bothering me for a while now, but with everything on the go, it was something I put well, I couldn't ignore it exactly, but simply soldiered on and tried to manage with stretching . and Advil . and Aleve. My abs and various other bits aren't strong enough to help support my spine so the onus is on my poor lower back muscles. The fear of not being able to sea kayak or play tennis while ...
Living on the cusp: September 2009
http://bornonthecusp.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. As if it wasn't bad enough that I haven't been good about exercising on my own, today I had a headache and a lot of work to do so I cancelled my personal training session. I've gotten pretty off-track with eating habits too. This morning, to keep myself in check, I took the scale out of the closet and it pretty much confirmed my suspicions. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Yesterday, I was prepared to make one last push to right t...
Living on the cusp: Wavering
http://bornonthecusp.blogspot.com/2010/04/wavering.html
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Thursday, April 1, 2010. I looked back at my last two posts and thought, in the one I'm motivated to change and the final words from Louis were "don't wait." And then I'm telling myself that I am generally happy and I will get to my end goal, that it's OK to stop and enjoy a little sunshine. In hindsight, it sounds like a bit of an excuse for not pushing forward. So this morning, I'm thinking to myself, so push already. I don't know, maybe it's like trying...
Living on the cusp: Sunshine vs. the to-do list
http://bornonthecusp.blogspot.com/2010/04/sunshine-vs-to-do-list.html
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Saturday, April 3, 2010. Sunshine vs. the to-do list. We had a pretty good winter weather-wise - not too cold, not too much snow - but let's face it, it can be a long season. And now we've been greeted with a sudden burst of summer with sunshine, 20-plus Celsius temps and even a little humidity. I can do both, can't I? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I don't intend to tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death.". Sunshine vs. the to-do list.

Living on the cusp
Living on the cusp. Contemplating life after 40. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. 29 Days and Counting. It's officially 29 days to my wedding and there are still some details to work out from rehearsal dinner reservations to booking hair and makeup appointments to budget reviews! But I have to say, a destination wedding was definitely the way to go. So now with most everything planned, I have nothing to do but count down the days. And each day, I cling to a new mental picture. Time to Start Over. But what wi...

Born on the Fifth of July - News from the Homefront
Born on the Fifth of July. News from the Homefront. My dad passed away a little over a year ago. Since then, my mom has been redoing her house. A part of me is sad to see things that I associated with dad slowly being erased, but I appreciate that it is healing to mom…and you can’t argue with her results. She sent me pictures of her new guest bedroom today and I am BLOWN AWAY. They are magazine-style pretty! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. November 6, 2014. So, did you think I was gone forever?
