Musings of a Nude Art Model. General information, thoughts and advice about becoming a nude art model. What is it like to be a nude model? Pretty much like other jobs but you don't have to worry much about your wardrobe. The easiest part of being a nude art model is taking off your clothes. Coming up with interesting poses that you can hold for 20 minutes or more, is hard work. Modeling is not easy work. I have had people say things like, "so you get paid to just stand there? Maybe the ribbon has unraveled in elegant turns, or the light has turned the white paper into an exciting puzzle of tones. We catch a glimpse of it just sitting there, and we compulsively start to work out how we would show that little bundle of cheap paper on a canvas. In a split second, a roll of toilet paper has seduced us.
