ARCANE RADIO TRIVIA: Johnny Got His Gun - Radio Drama
http://tenwatts.blogspot.com/2015/08/johnny-got-his-gun-radio-drama.html
It's the exceptions that make us what we are, not the rules. Monday, August 10, 2015. Johnny Got His Gun - Radio Drama. I have come to the periphery of this story many times before without actually discovering it. In 1988 Metallica released the song "One." The single was hugely successful though even the radio edit was 5 minutes long. The live version is almost ten. The music video was interspersed with clips and dialog from a 1971 film I had never seen titled Johnny Got His Gun. Posted by Jose Fritz.

It's the exceptions that make us what we are, not the rules. DJ Marathon Stay-Awake Records. Peter Tripp conducted what was probably the most famous DJ "wakeathon" back in 1959. I wrote a post describing the incident in 2009 here. This is considered torture. At least it raised money to fight polio. 1957 Dave Clarke - KVI-AM. 104 hours, 3 minutes. 1958 Loren Valentine - KAKE-AM. 1958 Mort Crowley - KWK-AM. 54 hours, 14 minutes (sometimes cited as KEK-AM). 1959 Stan Major - WIRL-AM. 1959 Red Evans - WTAL-AM.

The Composers of Early American Popular Music. Over the years we've researched and published short biographies on the composers whose music we feature on the site. As of this date, we've published over 300 biographies. The biographies usually appear in each feature with the music, however many of you have requested a central location for the biographies so that you may look up the composers separately. We are pleased to provide this resource for you here. Frank R. Adams. Pen name for Michael Maybrick).
