A Naval Officer's Adventure in the Highlands.of Afghanistan. Over Thanksgiving, I was sent out into the field on a mission with the ANA (Afghan National Army). It was unbelievably crazy and in a morbidly sick way, unbelievably fun.For my family and friends, I'll be happy to share the story over a pint of stout or a cold IPA when I return. It's just not cleared for this forum. Remember to send your donations to:. CSTC-A, Pool House. APO, AE 09356. December 23, 2009 at 7:56 PM. From the NOTU Ya Yas. The th...

Until next time: Keep your eye on a shipmate, head on a swivel and stand by to Give'em Hell! Afghan J...

Highland Sailor: Three Cups of Tea
http://highlandsailor.blogspot.com/2009/10/three-cups-of-tea.html
A Naval Officer's Adventure in the Highlands.of Afghanistan. Three Cups of Tea. If you haven't read "Three Cups of Tea", I strongly recommend that you do so at once. It's required reading for all officers in USFOR-A. It offers a wonderful insight to the Pashto People. Available at your local bookstore or library. I love the giggler on the end. Not in keeping with the 3 cups theme, but a great photo nonetheless. Until next time: Keep your eye on a shipmate, head on a swivel and stand by to Give'em Hell!

Highland Sailor: June 2009
http://highlandsailor.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
A Naval Officer's Adventure in the Highlands.of Afghanistan. A while back I mentioned that I was working on my ECRC Checklist. I finished it and now I am ready to start it all over again. The good folks at the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center (ECRC) have changed their mandatory checklist for the third time since I was ordered to Afghanistan. This in itself would not be so bad, but they keep changing what information is required. Hopefully, third times a charm. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
