Selma | Gucci's Film Rants

Gucci's Film Rants. January 16, 2015. Unforgettable time or story true but the film is close to boiler plate bio-pic which seem to be a favorite these in the cinemas this year. It struck me watching. The stunning first scene, however will hammer home why this mattered so much. After the riots in Ferguson and the death of Eric Garner in New York I wonder desperately, where is this generations Dr. King? We need him now. Gucci's Film Rants. A Most Violent Year. February 23, 2015. A throwback to the seventies where film had more in common with Shakespeare and literature than the comic book and rehashed ideas and remakes. When films were an art form that mean to have something to say. Not every film needed a marketing department and a happy meal tie in. Chastain is a force of nature and the subplot involving a struggling employee who only wishes to be like the great man he sees his boss to be, is staggering. Blog at WordPr...

Gucci's Film Rants. January 19, 2015. I am not quite sure how I felt about this film. Was this by Eastwood’s design? I dont know. He is a thoughtful filmmaker and this definitely made me think about the effect of war of a man and his family. It seems however to not know how it feels about the Iraq war itself. At once condemning it and the country for which we are fighting, and then forcing us to witness some horrid brutality that would prove our need to be there. The Best films of 2014. This WordPress.com site is about botanicals. Just a poorly maintained corner in Burbank. Yellow flowered plant →. Due to unseen circumstances…. August 1, 2013. Philip is in the hospital with a concussion. He was at an angry drunken “friend” and was hit by a baseball bat. Philip tends not to keep his mouth shut and even though this friend had a baseball bat, Philip did not defend himself and was knocked silly. This scenario has no winners. Why did Philip enable this drunken guy to cause an assault? So far...

Inherent Vice | Gucci's Film Rants
https://pbpbroncucia.wordpress.com/2015/01/12/inherent-vice
Gucci's Film Rants. January 12, 2015. Paul Thomas Anderson may be our most brilliant living filmmaker. He has yet to make a misstep. There are lesser efforts to be sure, (2002’s. Maybe) but the brilliance of the man still shone through. Is no exception to his cannon of awesome. A blur of characters, obscure, early 70’s vernacular and a plot that would make even Robert Altman scream in frustration. Is a wonder to experience. We meet Larry “Doc” Sportello ( the ever reliable Joaquin. All the supporting cha...
