Stories from the families of those brave ancestors who made the sea voyage to Australia. A butcher’s shop from Sepia Saturday to inspire us this week. Or perhaps, pigs, or shops, or white aprons, or whatever rises to the surface on viewing this image. So I will return to an image I have used before, that of Robert Butler, farmer and butcher of Moolort then Newstead in Central Victoria, and his mobile butcher’s cart. One disadvantage of our beach visits was that we didn't have surf lifesavers watching, we didn't have to swim 'inside the flags' (note the red and yellow flag on the left of the first photo), but luckily none of us ever had a mishap in the ocean.
