I have taken a very detailed picture of the fixator so I could explain the process that I am doing for the lengthening. Top half of external fixator. Just remember that these steps are for my case in particular, yours will vary depending on the fixator. You should always follow the instructions given by your doctor. August 29, 2009. I worked out today for the first time in all these months, and although it wasn’t very “impressive” in terms of what I did, I feel so much better for doing it! This is truly the best part of all.
