In the last 10 verses, we see repentance, baptism, teaching, fellowship, communion, prayer, giving with a glad heart, praise, and growth of the church. Saturday, March 14, 2009. This book was originally titled “In the Wilderness,” perhaps a more apt title. We are stuck in the wilderness with the chosen people for the duration. As we read of the grumbling Israelites, I heard a lot of grumbling from Path readers. Apropos. A few worship items. The Levites are established and the priestly tribe. We read of special duties, treatment and allowances for them through this book and the next. Chapter 6- a beautiful benediction closes the chapter.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Again we see in Moses an individual who doesn’t necessarily fit the hero mold. Even God loses patience as Moses repeatedly refuses God’s call (chap 4). This Pharaoh heart-hardening has always bothered me. Haven’t ever really heard an adequate explanation of what’s going on here. I think I just survived one the busiest weeks I have had in a long time! Lots of good things. A 4th and 5th grade night with 40 kids! A shout out to the parents who helped me out on it - Thanks! I had an opportunity to lead 150 women in worship at a women's retreat in Burr Ridge on Saturday! Lots of good music on Sunday! Don't give it up!
