SONS IN RETIREMENT - BRANCH 23. Devoted To Promoting The Independence and Dignity Of Retirement. Sons in Retirement (SIR) is a men’s social group with over 150 branches in cities throughout. The organization is made up of retired or semi-retired men that meet monthly for lunch. There are no membership dues. Each member pays for his own lunch and may contribute a small amount for branch operation costs. The group grew in size until it decided to become a formal non-profit organization in 1959.
