Information and a diary about Dads' progress after his accident on dec 21 2008. Friday, 31 May 2013. Current state of play is: Dad still can't swallow properly, so this is an ongoing investigation. The chest infection continues to respond to treatment. He is being given pain killers for back pain. He may sit out in the chair later today. Information and a diary about Dads' progress after his accident on dec 21 2008. Wednesday, 5 June 2013. I'm afraid Dad has been re admitted to Poole Hospital. The official diagnosis is now pneumonia. He had a bad night, but is more comfortable now (12pm) and having a nap. After the team have been to see him, I should get a clearer picture and prognosis. He is in Ansty ward 01202448481. Once he is off the antibiotics there are two choices available:. 1 He has a feeding tube into his stomach. This look like it would be permanent solution. Possibly with the least discomfort.
