Monday, January 26, 2009. Artist of the Week. Song: God of This City. In Chris Tomlin's newest album comes the song, God of This City. The song was originally written by Bluetree. A band from Ireland, but Chris asked them if he could use it for Passion and for his new record. The song is very simple, yet profound and true. Click on the video above to hear the song and see the lyrics. If you would like to hear the amazing story behind the song, click on Artist of the Week. Prepare to be amazed. Well let&#...

Redact that statement!: Broken
http://redactthat.blogspot.com/2011/03/broken.html
Tuesday, March 8, 2011. You can’t put a broken piece of glass back together to make it look the way it was. It is very difficult to rebend metal to regain its original shape. A burnt house can’t be lived in. But all these things can be replaced to look like they used to. Are we like a piece of glass or metal? Can we be bent? Can we be broken? The earth is cursed. The world is wicked. People break, we all will break. We are all broken. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Artist of the week.

Redact that statement!: September 2009
http://redactthat.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Artist of the Week. Artist – House of Heroes. Album – The End is Not the End. Song – In the Valley of the Dying Sun. Has been around for about a decade, but they haven’t had the exposure as they do now. They signed with Gotee Records. This year and Toby Mac. Has helped them get out there. These guys have talent, in fact their recording is them playing, no digital processing, no mess with this or raise this level a bit, it is their sound. Another thing about House of Heroes.

Redact that statement!: May 2009
http://redactthat.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 21, 2009. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Artist of the Week. One of my most favorite bands of all time is Third Day. I have seen them in concert 5 times, and they are simply amazing. Mac Powell has a magnificent voice that is very distinct. You know that a band that is that big and has been around for as long as they have is real. They are in it for the right reasons. God has given all of them amazing talents. One of the coolest things that Third Day. I could write the story of Revive. So many ti...

The Top 25 Films of the 1920s. April 22, 2009 at 9:46 pm. 25 Orphans of the Storm (D.W. Griffiths, 1921). 2 things; D.W. Griffith and the Gish sisters. Ok, I guess that’s three but you can’t go wrong. This is one of Griffith’s most under seen films. Just like Griffith, this film is filled with epic sweeping drama, international intrigue, and romance. 24 The Phantom of the Opera (Rupert Julian, 1925). 23 The Cameraman (Buster Keaton, 1928). 22 Ben-Hur (Fred Niblo,1925). So this isn’t the best movie you’ll...

Be Devoted to Prayer. April 15, 2009 at 9:12 pm. F) Free and Formed. You must have both structured and unstructured prayer. If your prayers are only structured they will be unmeaningful and stuffy. If your prayers are only unstructured they will be shallow and trite. Look at mealtime prayers. They have no meaning! A) Alone and Assembled. D) Desperate and Delighted. E) Explosive and Extended. Short and long prayers are equally important and powerful. If you’re devoted to prayer you’ll pray without cea...

Cleaning a Burning House. A couple weeks ago we bought new garage doors and openers to replace our dilapidated and nasty old doors. The door and opener for my side of our garage went up basically without a hitch. I have spent the last three days working on Ashley’s side. The stupid door just wouldn’t fit! I spent three days trying all sorts of thing to get this stinkin garage door to fit and to work when all along it was to big for the space. The garage. April 3, 2009 at 10:02 pm. For my wife and i.

Top 25 Films of the 1980s | Vain Jangling

Top 25 Films of the 1980s. April 17, 2009 at 8:49 pm. 25 Stranger Than Paradise (Jim Jarmusch, 1984). Jarmusch is amazing at how he makes the mundane surreal. This is one weird and crazy and lazy journey on the road with the slacker losers. It is funny and touching and strangely poetic. 24 Sans Soleil (Chris Marker, 1983). 23 Summer (Eric Rohmer, 1986). 22 Platoon (Oliver Stone, 1986). 21 Crimes and Misdemeanors (Woody Allen, 1989). If this isn’t Allen’s best film it is at least in the top 3. It’s ma...
