Supporters Hall of Fame. The Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge History. Since its beginnings in 2001, Breast Feeding Matters has co-hosted the annual Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge. The goal is to set the record for the most babies breastfeeding at one time. The winners of the competition are the region (province or territory or state) with the most babies participating as a percentage of the birth rate. In Victoria our results are as follows:. 2001 - 122 mothers and 126 babies.
