Perched on a mountainside on the western fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park is a remarkable landscape of craggy cliffs, grassy humps and bumps and enigmatic ruins. For more than 200 years this beautiful place was a hive of industrial activity where limestone was quarried and processed to make lime. CALCH was a three year project which aimed to research the lime industry of the Black Mountain in Carmarthenshire and to improve access and interpretation to encourage new visitors to the area.
