Our Lady of the Snows, Stonetown, Co. Louth. 31/10/2014 – 1:07 pm. Our Lady of the Snows is a charming rural T-plan church built by Reverend P. Banan in 1837. The interior is plain and simple and well lit with eight Y-traceried windows. It has a cut stone bellcote over its single entrance. Laquo; Saint Kevin’s, Philipstown, Co. Louth. Kerbstones in Skerries: why do we not care? | Brendan Grimes

Kerbstones in Skerries: why do we not care? 02/04/2015 – 2:48 pm. Laquo; Cars and architectural photography. Posted 02/04/2015 at 6:32 pm. I couldn’t agree more. Posted 02/04/2015 at 8:00 pm. I notice that the wheelchair ramps in Church Street are more often than not blocked by parked cars. Isn’t it a pity that the kerbstones were sacrificed at the altar of ignorance? A first year student in any design discipline would have had no difficulty designing a ramp that could be used and retain the kerbstones.

Well, that’s happened several times on bike trips with my partner here in Canada and the U.S. It’s rather funny but sad: hotel staff hardly see cyclists arrive by bike. Posted 07/12/2014 at 3:03 pm. No cars in town | Brendan Grimes
https://brendangrimes.wordpress.com/2015/01/05/no-cars-in-town
No cars in town. 05/01/2015 – 5:13 pm. Fingal County Council have asked the public to give their views on a proposal to introduce a 30kph speed limit for cars in the town of Skerries. If the proposal is implemented there will be howls of protest from some people. Many will not protest but simply ignore the limit making life even more dangerous for unsuspecting pedestrians.
