Thursday, June 30, 2011. We will be closed for vacation from Thursday, June 30th through Tuesday, July 5th. We're spending the 4th in my very favorite place.Chattanooga, TN. Hopefully when I get back I'll have lots of bakery pictures to post, as that's one of my favorite vacation activities! We will also not be at the farmers market on Tuesday. Sunday, September 25, 2011. I had such a fun week this week. I did a cake that I think is my new favorite! Even the little smash cake was so much fun to do. The base cake is our white almond sour cream with chocolate ganache filling. The ladybug cake is our white almond sour cream with strawberry filling. Two of my favorite combinations! Have a wonderful 1st birthday, Evey! And Julia is turning 13, so her mom ordered cupcakes to bring to the event. I matched the stand to the cupcakes. Have a great week!

Thursday, August 25, 2011. And I have to brag.I am getting the most incredible gift anybody could've given me. My granddaughter, Emma, is coming home today! After three weeks in the hospital, my sweet girl is finally being sprung! She was born six weeks early and weighed 3 lbs, 14 oz. Three weeks later, she's up to 4lbs, 8 oz, and is doing great! Happy Birthday to me! At this point, we're hoping to be open in six weeks or so. Patience is a virtue, right? August 25, 2011 at 3:10 PM. Thank you both so much!

No Fail Sugar Cookies. 3 tsp baking powder. 2 cups unsalted butter. 2 cups sugar (white granulated). 2 tsp vanilla extract or desired flavoring. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Sunday, March 6, 2011. Past, Present and Rug Hooking. I can't believe it's been over a year since my last post. And so much has happened, too much to go over. So to catch you up, a brief summary. You remember I ended with a broken wrist, physical therapy and some pain in my shoulder. Ok, I had to have rotator cuff surgery and of course more physical therapy.
