In Norway and beyond . Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Swedish Wild Boar Hunt. Myself and my friend Jon Anders have just returned from a weekend Swedish wild boar hunt. We departed Oslo at 9am and hit the road for our intended destination of Karlskrona about 8.5 hours drive away. The drive was long but we were kept entertained by the number of roe deer in sight on the fields next to the highway, we had literally seen hundreds by the time we reached Karlskrona at 5:30pm. I sat there for several more hours with no...

In Norway and beyond . Sunday, 23 December 2012. Hunting Adventures: February 2014
http://jonathan81.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
In Norway and beyond . Sunday, 9 February 2014. Ptarmigan Hunt in Finnmark - Northern Norway. The first picture here was taken at the bottom of the mountain prior to the three hour hike up to our camp site. Upon arrival at the desired campsite it became apparent that the local guide had dropped off our equipment about 750 meters short of where we actually wanted, so after a long hike we now had to drag all of the equipment to the campsite. This is the view we awoke to each morning. And now for some pictu...

Hunting Adventures: January 2013
http://jonathan81.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
In Norway and beyond . Sunday, 20 January 2013. For this competition I decided to use the Prvi Partizan 150 grain FMJ in 30-06 which I reviewed in my previous post as I was getting good accuracy from them and they performed well throughout the competition. The first target of the day was a crow at 63 meters and the shooting position was sitting, on this target I got 4 shots into the bulls-eye and one just outside so this was a score of 23 from a possible 25. Sunday, January 20, 2013. As you can see the a...
