Monday, December 30, 2013. Goldstrike Hot Springs near Boulder Dam Nevada/Arizona. In late December 2013 I spent a delightful afternoon hiking down Goldstrike Canyon near Boulder Dam outside of Las Vegas with Robin and soaking in a hot spring. Weather was sunny and about 60 degF. We arrived at the trailhead (see map below) just after lunch and spent about an hour hiking the two miles down to. We stopped at what I see called elsewhere on the Internet as Cave of Wonders Pool. It was below a fixed rope.

Rockfall circled in red surrounding this home which would seem to indicate the danger of habitation in this area. Satellite view. Home is located in The Cliffs, a gated community in Saint George, UT. Last Friday Robin and I spent a day on the Navajo Reservation, East of Flagstaff, near the town of Leupp helping the group Engineers without Borders build a new dwelling. My brother Mitch and I spent a week or two each summer in the late 1960's and early 1970's with my Grandparents - Norma and Evan Floyd - in Driggs, Idaho. We were born in 1959 and 1960 and loved spending that time with my Mom's parents. We would walk every day down to the Corner Drug ( www.driggspharmacy.com. The ski hill runs a race each year for local elementary school students which is named after Grandpa Floyd. November 13, 2013.
