You’re going where? | the road less traveled
https://brianplewis.wordpress.com/2011/01/21/youre-going-where
The road less traveled. The name of my blog. You’re going where? Collin County – 808,207 people with an average of 94 people moving. Into the county every day. The fastest growing county in Texas, and one of the fastest growing in the U.S. The 6th most populous county in Texas. More than 1/2 of those 808,207 people do not. Claim any religious affiliation at all! To those without God in their lives. Before Christ returned to heaven He passed that mission on to us ( Matthew 28:18-20. Question instead, R...

The road less traveled. The name of my blog. This was my first video on YouTube 3 years ago. Isn’t that kid cute! He just couldn’t remember where to end the song so he kept going…even changed keys! I had this interesting conversation in the comments section on this video (my comments are in bold). I will address this subject more in upcoming posts, but I wanted to get your thoughts. Leave a comment below and tell me how would you have responded to this individual? It was filed under Family. Second, I thi...

The road less traveled. The name of my blog. I never had one of those stretchable toys like. But I remember watching those commercials and thinking they were really cool. As any fitness trainer will tell you, stretching is good and necessary. Over the last couple of years God has been stretching our family. Two specific books, Crazy Love. There was an opportunity for me to teach in South Korea or China. Really God? Move our family to the other side of the planet? God used those months to stretch us. ...
Christlike | the road less traveled

The road less traveled. The name of my blog. Jesus’ words from His sermon on the mount, Matthew 5:43-47,. You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?

The road less traveled. The name of my blog. Passing the Torch-Part 2. Thanks for your comments on my first post on. Foundational absolute truths that I live by: 1. All mankind is sinful and in need of redemption ( Romans 3:23. 2 Jesus, the only Son of God, came to earth as the Redeemer for all mankind ( John 3:16. 3 Jesus is the one and only way to God and eternal life ( John 14:6. 4 Without faith in Jesus there is no hope, and eternal death in hell is certain ( Revelation 20:11-15. Life as a Lewis: Sunflowers
http://lifeasalewis.blogspot.com/2015/08/sunflowers.html
Tuesday, August 04, 2015. There's a field of sunflowers just a few minutes from my house, and I determined this would be the year I actually remembered to go take pictures. I almost waited too long, and many of them were wilting in the heat, but I kind of love them anyway. But then my mom said she keeps checking for my posts and Rory keeps re-reading the blog books I do have printed, so I'll be back later this week with Utah/Tennessee Lewis pictures and first day of school photos (already? Life as a Lewis: October 2014
http://lifeasalewis.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 25, 2014. Were read. We finally finished up the last episode of The Great Food Truck Race. Just in case I'm presenting this as an easy week, let me assure you that it was FULL. But there were moments of peace in the midst of the craziness, and I am just so grateful for that. I saw both Camden and Rory's teachers yesterday for conferences, and I am just so proud of my kids. Parenting is hard, hard work, but sometimes you get a glimpse of why it's worth all the hard work. After a quick st...
Life as a Lewis: December 2014
http://lifeasalewis.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. The Year of the Advent. I've debated long and hard on the the title of Christmas 2014. To review:. Christmas 2011 - The Year of the Preemie Baby and Gallbladder Attack. Christmas 2012 - The Year of the Flu. Christmas 2013 - The Year of the Purse. So it was with a sigh of relief that we loaded into our rented van last Monday morning (thank you, 180 Church) and traveled to Illinois to be with family - where the real holiday season happens. It was such a lovely and real reminde...
Life as a Lewis: August 2014
http://lifeasalewis.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2014. The weeks are just flying by. I can hardly believe that I've completed my first month back to work and the kids have been in school 3.5 weeks. I've even noticed that it's just about dark at 8:00 this week, which is a good step toward fall weather. Our temps this week have hovered in the 93-96 range so fall will be a welcome change. It has been a stressful few weeks, and we are both in need of a little drama-free adult conversation. Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend for brunch and...
Life as a Lewis: January 2015

Saturday, January 31, 2015. I've had several people emailing me about a way to subscribe to the blog. If you'll scroll down, there's a spot on the bottom right side that lets you sign up for the posts to be delivered via email. If you're on a mobile device, this doesn't work so hop on your laptop desktop, sign up, and then they'll shop up via your email address each time I post.). Guilty that I was eating steak while they had hamburger soup. 6 My Facebook feed is blowing up with tears over the Parenthood...
Life as a Lewis: August 2015
http://lifeasalewis.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 27, 2015. I am kind of chuckling as I glance at my last blog post because it kind of felt all we've got this new back-to-school thing down and we're rolling with it. However, it's all downhill from here on out (well, this week anyway) because I'm off work Thursday/Friday. I sometimes feel guilty that I am off 2 days a week and then I come to my senses and just enjoy the extra time to work at home as a wife and mama. Links to this post. Friday, August 21, 2015. Listing the books so I have...
Life as a Lewis: March 2015

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Ice Cream Day #4. What I do know is that it's been hard, but there's been a whole lot of good mixed in with the hard. I hear your mind/body know. Somehow when the anniversary of a traumatic event approaches, and I think maybe my mind/body has been dwelling in that place of knowing. For the past several weeks. I'm looking forward to moving past today. Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.". Links to this post. We dropped t...

I receive questions occasionally on what camera and lens that I use so I thought I'd take today to share the information. Two recent (if Father's Day is considered recent) with the 24-70 lens. There's some bobble head effect going on here, but it's kind of a fun effect for goofing around. Links to this post.
