November 12, 2012 {The National Arboretum}. It was the perfect November day.sunglasses, boots, wool coat, and a fellow explorer. We wandered through unkept paths and basked in warm colors and cool breezes. To our delight, a bit of Washington history. Was on display. Corinthian columns that once supported the US Capitol building stood awkwardly in a quiet field. December 27, 2011 {Post-Christmas slump}. Christmas is officially over. I'm officially stuffed and officially exhausted. The few days after Christmas are always a bit strange.there was so much preparation and anticipation and now it's all over. Luckily, the sparkle of the holiday season is still lingering with New Years (and my birthday) around the corner! Paper snowflakes and twinkly lights hanging about the apartment are certainly helping in the fight against today's cold, winter rain.
