Newer posts →. Food is one of the reasons that keeps everyone pedaling, and for good reason. Here Richard and Colleen arrive at campsite at the end of a long day. An afternoon snack of freshly cooked chilli bites and tea await them, soon to be followed by a dinner that is impossible to beat at this altitude or any other for that matter. One night it was Italian: lasagne, pesto pasta, pasta napoli, fresh salad, olives and pizza, no ovens to be seen, all prepared at 4000m on a kerosene stove. As close as w...

Chamser Kangri, all of 6622m – Changthang Ladakh. El Pancito at the Races →. The Adventures of El Pancito: First Chariot Micro-Adventure. El Pancito: means little bread/roll in Spanish, what we nick-named Gabriel when he was baking in the oven. The first few kilometres of the 70km round trip journey involved some of the Howick and Karkloof well worn trails. Other team member included el Pancito’s Bunny. We couldn’t done it without our great friend Cath! Cycling through the eucalyptus and pine plantations.

A Cup Of Coffee (C). Thursday, March 13, 2014. Ma first scuba dive at Nethrani Island. He pressed my nose and reminded me to clear off the block in my ears. I tried doing it. The efforts cleared one of the blocks but continued to ache badly. We continued after I said "OK". Is There A Thing as Zero Footprint Tourism? |
https://bohemiansnuffbumble.wordpress.com/2014/02/20/is-there-a-thing-as-zero-footprint-tourism
Is There A Thing as Zero Footprint Tourism? February 20, 2014. Off late there have been doubts about travel as a whole. The tourism industry is at a precarious stage. The oil prices are going up, snatching conventional travel away bit by bit from people at large. The economy of European nations is going through a slump reducing the backpacker tourism in India. But is that such a bad thing? To a property owner at a tourist spot, yes! But for places at large, I think it’s the natural balance being restored.

Ate in restaurants worth remembering. Enjoyed the company of other family members. We got out just before Stella arrived with her snow and sleet. And, once I...
