Friday, August 30, 2013. Yes, still here, but just not in Bangladesh anymore! I kinda just left you all hanging way back in January and didn't finish off well. Sorry internet! Leaving Chittagong was hard and sad and the end of something good. I am so thankful for the time and the experience and the locals and my dear friendships I made during the year. I have so much more to add, and maybe I will finish sharing about my year in Bangladesh one day! But life is good and I am happy :). The train and the Taj.

This weekend is the end of Ramadan, which is celebrated with the Eid ul-Fitre festival, which means public holidays for me! And as mostly everything in the 'desh shuts down for the week, it was a good excuse to have a refreshing break outside the country. Annnnnd, I got really cheap tickets Dhaka-Beijing, so why not? Monday, September 17, 2012. Chittagong is not what the tour books would describe as a site seeing city. In fact the Bradt guide book says this about Chittagong in the opening few sentences:.
