www.borntoshop.co.za: August 2009
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 August 2009. School is not cool. I put my first born son's name down for nursery school and private school shortly after he was born. At the private school - St. Peters, he is number 97 on the list, they take 70. And that's without siblings who get first preference. It's so crazy. Apparently you can now put your child’s name down before birth. And even so I am battling to decide. And I don't even know if we will get in to either! Another factor that I have to consider is the culture. I d...

www.borntoshop.co.za: Ultimate South African stuff
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/10/ultimate-south-african-stuff.html
Thursday, 15 October 2009. Ultimate South African stuff. Here’s a list of my favourite South African products, I think nearly all of these products are exported – some are more established than others. These are the things I send overseas or make sure overseas visitors know about or just can’t live without. The book, the slumber sack, the cuddle wrap. I would not have been the same mother without Babysense. And I would not have gotten the sleep thing “right” without Anne Richardson. The bumbo baby seat.
www.borntoshop.co.za: Kids say the sweetest things
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/10/kids-say-sweetest-things.html
Tuesday, 6 October 2009. Kids say the sweetest things. On Wednesday a boy came round to play, our first real Mom drops and goes type of play date. They had so much fun. He didn’t say anything in particular but when his Dad came to fetch him he went and hid under Ronan’s bed! Today another boy came round and when he walked in he took a big sniff and said “This house smells nice”. What it smells of I don’t know but man that was cute. 12 October 2009 at 15:11. www.borntoshop.co.za: May 2009
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 30 May 2009. A little note on having a second baby. When Ronan was about a year and half old I was overtaken but the urge to have another baby - immediately. And so, 1 month later I was pregnant with Darcy. And what a journey that was. Of course there are bad days but no worse than before. I was already having sleepless nights and worn out days and absolutely no me-time. I think it's about having realistic expectations. So go on then. Links to this post. Sunday, 24 May 2009. Now we are 3. I sta...
www.borntoshop.co.za: The story of two Brown(s) bears
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/09/story-of-two-browns-bears.html
Wednesday, 30 September 2009. The story of two Brown(s) bears. I chose my own wedding ring. After a long search I found “the one” at Browns. At the time we had just bought a new house and were in the process of renovating it. We decided it was not a priority to replace the ring (it wasn’t insured) and I would wait and hope it went on sale. It didn’t, in fact the price went up. Twice. Hopefully after a few weeks/months/years the worry will wear off. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader.
www.borntoshop.co.za: AWOL
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/11/awol.html
Monday, 2 November 2009. So I guess I have committed blog suicide. Not only have I moved my blog but then I went on holiday and fell off the posting wagon and never got back on again. Also, everyone has been sick and I have been in survival mode so little luxuries like me-time have not been catered for. Anway, at least I am back on the wagon. Now if I could just get myself to go back to gym. 21 May 2010 at 12:21. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader. Why I won’t buy a Fitbit.
www.borntoshop.co.za: First words
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/09/first-words.html
Tuesday, 29 September 2009. Darcy is talking. He started by making animal noises a few weeks ago and although I made a big fuss over him I wasn’t sure it counted as talking and then today he was playing with a car and going “vroom vroom” and he held it up to me and said “Car”. Cue tears! Am so very proud. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader. Why I won’t buy a Fitbit. What institutionalized racism looks like inside our system of education. www.borntoshop.co.za: April 2009
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 22 April 2009. I became obsessed with blogging for a few days. I did the rounds and this is what I learned. An average of 3 - 7 comments is good. Unless of course you sell $40,000 in advertising on your blog. Use the income to support your whole family and go on Oprah to talk about it, in which case you can expect up to 1,000. Still, better than nothing. Links to this post. I love this . Photo of Darcy, it almost captured how much his eyes shine. Links to this post. Friday, 10 April 2009.
www.borntoshop.co.za: (Addams) Family values
http://borntoshopkath.blogspot.com/2009/10/addams-family-values.html
Tuesday, 6 October 2009. Between Oprah, Nikki Bush. And life in general something occurred to me. I work for a large corporation and we have a set of values that we live by. I had an idea that if I am the CEO of my family and I were to run my family like a business, as if it were a brand then I should write a set of values for my family to live by. Kindness to all people and animals. Helping others however you can. Open-mindedness, free speech and opinions. Taking action for what you believe in. Roast ca...

Bright Ideas Preschool
Welcome to Bright Ideas Preschool of Spanish Fork, UT. I hope you enjoy the pictures and cute sayings of your children as much as I do! Thursday, January 29, 2009. At the end of each week we have Show and Tell. Usually, we see a lot of toys and I read a lot of their favorite books. On one day, however, Nendalynn brought in a book of her own to read to the class. They were all very impressed! She is a great reader! Posted by Heather M.
