Brigid, Fox, and Buddha. Rhiannon's personal ramblings. M is for Multiple Religious Belonging. O is for Ordinary Theology →. N is for Names. August 10, 2015. When I was a teenager, I changed my name from Emma to Rhiannon. There were lots of other girls my age called Emma, and if you called ‘Emma! 8217; across the park, or the street, or the playground, I didn’t turn around, because I assumed you meant someone else. This rendered it less than functional as a name, so I chose a new one. Thought for another...

Brigid, Fox, and Buddha. Rhiannon's personal ramblings. Newer posts →. Afterwords: a labyrinth of ideas. August 3, 2016. Afterwords isn’t the only thing about Meeting for Worship which has changed over the past century. The way we talk about afterwords can reveal our ideas about other things, especially our views of Meeting for Worship. Afterwords is part of a wider picture of the end of Meeting for Worship, and what people want is a smooth transition into the next thing. Why collect demographic data?

Brigid, Fox, and Buddha. Rhiannon's personal ramblings. L is for Language-Games. N is for Names →. M is for Multiple Religious Belonging. August 9, 2015. Sometimes I wish I had a shorter, neater term for this concept! What counts as a ‘religion’ for this purpose? What are you supposed to put on forms where you are asked to tick one box and presented with a list in which you identify with two or more options? How do other members of the religions involved react? Or like being bisexual, or none of these, o...

Personal ramblings and rants of a somewhat twisted mind. Please don’t eat Kiwis. 17 August, 2015. I consider myself a reasonably tolerant person, but in one aspect I realise I fall somewhat short. Brigid George, author. This website is where I'll tell you all about my murder mysteries. The first one is. Brigid George is the pseudonym of. Many people seem to have issues with my real name. They insist on putting full stops after the J and the B when they write my name. They mispronounce Rowley so that the 'R . Ow' part rhymes with 'cow'. Wrong! Rowl' rhymes with 'bowl' so that Rowley rhymes with 'holy'. Besides, if you have grown up as 'Rowley', the name 'Rowling' is quite different.
