Thursday, November 13, 2008. The recent Amendment 2 campaign sparked many fallacious arguments, not the least of which is this line ( stated on the pro-2 website. When you create a same-sex marriage, you are simultaneously creating a same-sex family.". They used this argument as an incentive to vote yes, saying that it would protect children. However - not only do not all gay couples want children, but Amendment 2 itself has nothing to do with families. So I'd say this is a straw man. And it pisses me off.
