Books first published in paperback in the U.K. (and books previously published abroad and published for the first time in paperback in the U.K.) during period 1st May 2014 – 30th April 2015.  Only the first title in a series will be eligible. Final inclusion in shortlist is dependent on title being in print and available for purchase on 5. Is so enjoyable that the reader is passionate about it. Offers an emotional connection. About the Brilliant Book Award. The Brilliant Book Award is managed by the Nottinghamshire Education Library Service.  . The timetable for the award runs from September 2015 to March 2016 and is open to KS3 students in schools in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham City and Derbyshire. Schools can submit suggested titles for the longlist until October 2015. The shortlisted titles will be announced in November 2015. The winner will be announced in March 2016. To promote reading to KS3 pupils.
