Snap Crackling Pop: December 2012
http://snapcracklingpop.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 December 2012. Six Things I learned in 2012. It seemed like there was never any time to sit down and muster some thoughts on a particular recipe or discovery. Thankfully, this is now the time of year for reflection, and a merciful breath from the toils of everyday hubbub. I figure what better way to do that than to look at some of the things that I've learned this year food-wise. Low and slow wins the race. A great burger is not hard to find. My no1 burger. Seek it out. It's greasy, messy, che...

Snap Crackling Pop: February 2012
http://snapcracklingpop.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, 5 February 2012. Crispy Toffee Oatmeal Cookies. So last night, we had a sudden cold-snap-snowstorm here in London. Aside from bringing the entire city screeching to a halt at the sight of six inches of snow, it gave us the opportunity to stay tucked indoors today. With the Superbowl later this evening, and the relentless eating and drinking that comes with it, after lunch we decided to grab some supplies and whip up a batch of lovely oatmeal cookies. Crispy Oatmeal Toffee Cookies. Cook for 8-10 m...

A Cook and her Windowsill: September 2010
http://acookandherwindowsill.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
A Cook and her Windowsill. Tales of windowsill vegetable gardening and a tasty meal or two. Sunday, 26 September 2010. Roasted peppers and chorizo. So on Friday night we attempted to use up our two sweet peppers that had turned red. There's a delicious chorizo, roasted pepper and rocket sandwich that I first tasted at Borough Market. Stall about 10 years ago (they still sell them so if you find yourself in London on a Friday or Saturday head down to Borough and check them out for yourself! Well as the da...

http://practicallydaily.blogspot.com/2014/08/kuku-ye-sabzi.html
Sharing the love of eating magnificently every day, sometimes in my lovely kitchen and sometimes finding the great things London offers. Mostly savoury - I'm no cakey pig! Tuesday, August 05, 2014. Kuku -ye Sabzi is a Persian dish I've been making on and off for a while. You start with leafy greens, fresh herbs and eggs. The first time I made it I was expecting a variation on a frittata or herby omelette. I was astounded to discover just how wrong I was! 1 bunch spinach or other leafy green. Heat about a...

Sharing the love of eating magnificently every day, sometimes in my lovely kitchen and sometimes finding the great things London offers. Mostly savoury - I'm no cakey pig! Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Ha Noi Food Tales. It's the mopeds that are the surprise. Before we got to Hanoi in December I'd read a couple of bits on they net about how to cross the road and smirked. I can already do that! After the flight there is the humidity and the scratchy eye tiredness. I booked a table at Cau Go. Says Tu, hand...
