Undecidedly So: February 2006
http://undecidedlyso.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 17. Give me a few minutes, that statement will most likely be retracted. After all, I am human, and damn if I don't like me some human touch. Thursday, February 16. In need of repair. I would take my heart being broken into a thousand pieces to not break another person's heart. Wednesday, February 15. It was decided there were two types of people in this world: the ones that love the popcorn jelly bellys and the ones who hate them. And we wonder why local music shops are closing down.

Tuesday, November 29, 2005. For the most part, I am pretty laid-back about speech. At the same time, I feel an obligation to raise my children to abide by socially accepted standards of speech. Other parents see red when their kids say "stupid"; it takes "retard" or "meshuggeneh" to make me mad. And I don't see anything wrong with hell (as long as you're not telling someone to go there). But one of the words I am very strict about is "kill". I hear that word and it's trouble. I'M GONNA MAKE YOU DEAD.".

Monday, April 10, 2006. A book Gil reviewed. Caught my eye at the Judaica store recently. Is there anyone who believes that there is really going to be a one-size fits all solution to this problem? Chanoch l'naar al pi darko. Is all a person can do to honestly say, after 120, "I've done mine." But bechirah. Will still always exist in the hands of the individual. Wishing you a wonderful Chag Hacheirus, v'ein l'cha ben chorin ela mi she'oseik b'Torah. Thursday, April 06, 2006. Ben celebrates a belated Purim.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. The Dangers of Narrowmindedness. A recent letter to Mishpacha from an anesthesiologist reminded me that I really wanted to post about the whole epidural meshugass. The doctor has the good sense to admit that there is room for both natural and pain-relieved childbirths. It is astonishing to read and listen to the opinions from some advocates of natural childbirth. Interventions, and feel let down by the betrayal of their bodies, and by the notion that they will not have a "perf...

Thursday, December 29, 2005. A Little Bit of Light. Many defeated by the few. Yet the celebration is all about the oil. You might have even missed the war theme if you weren't the praying type. The oil seems to be all about the vindication. The unpopular stance - they would call you the unsophisticated, uncultured; barbaric, even (circumcision! A little jar of oil and it's all right again. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. If you always had what you wanted, could you ever know that you're jealous? First, justi...

Wednesday, August 02, 2006. Hezbollah rockets are raining on Israel at a typical pace of what, over 100 a day? Hezbollah operates, like the terrorist group it is, out of civilian areas. Lebanon cannot or will not disarm this terrorist group. What exactly is Israel supposed to do - say, "Shoot me"? Just take the kidnapping and rocket fire and it's business as usual? Friday, December 22. Or is it because I already made a conscious decision, that I hold no weight in any of it? That negative part, that part that keeps having to resurface with each heartache, each dead end, each misread? Is it because I'm leaving, or because it's the truth? I think it's the ease at which I'm taking this all that's throwing me off. I haven't broken down since he told me he didn't think he'd ever leave her. Why haven't I broken down? Or has it just not hit me? Thursday, December 21. I'm t...
